My crested also has food allergies. The food that works for her is Roayl Canin Skin Sensitivity. You can get it from most vet clinics (they should order it in for you if they don't have it). I also use the Wellness wet food mixed in. The turkey and sweet potatoe and duck and sweet potatoe seem to be a big hit. My vet recommended Hydrozyzine for her when her allergies "flare up". This is a drug that you can get from the vet. It helps with the itching, red skin, puffy eyes, etc.
Good luck!
