I use the frontline spray on my animals only when fleas are a problem, using it sparingly on my crested, however it does not protect against ticks like the frontline plus. Also, frontline plus allows the ticks to bite and then kills them, so I would think it would be better to try something that would repell ticks and pick them off if you find one. When we camp, I have used a light mist of OFF on my dogs feet when hiking and washed it off as soon as possible, but not sure if you should use that very often! Something natural would be best, if you find something, let us all know.
