No, the vet did not do a biopsy, even though I mentioned it. She did a fine needle biopsy on his infected area & said all she saw were white blood cells. I can't recall if he has had any bloodwork to rule out hypothyroidism or Cushings. I've been to several vets & no one has come up with that diagnosis. He doesn't have any other symptoms & has had this since he was at least 3 months old, when I got him. His skin is visibly different on the back of his neck. It goes from normal, smooth skin to thickened skin with bumps on top of bumps. His paws are affected, too, but differently. I will send a picture of him if I can figure out how to do it. (I'm a little technically challenged.) Thank you for any help.
