This sounds like it may actually be more of a staph infection, I would take her to the vet and have them culture the sebum within the sore itself or simply do a skin scrape. I have had two (one HL CC and a Chi) fighting staph infections this summer. We ended up having to do a 4 week course of Simplicef for my HL girl to get her staph infection under control.
