First, thank you for adopting a a Crestie in need. Now as for the skin, it takes time, as in months & months (and thena few more), to rectify skin issues. Also, please keep in mind that while some of her skin problems may be environmental related, they have just as much chance of being genetic and, therefore, she may never have clear skin. As for the "under the skin pimples" it sounds as though you're describing what we call pearly cysts. Those can be expressed, however, they have a very hard core center to them and unless you express the core, it will eventually come right back. In addition, by expressing these, you run the risk of causing an underlying skin infection (staph). If you do express them (including blackheads), be sure you always follow up with a wipe down of an astringent (such as witchhazel/listerine mix - 50/50 witchhazel & original listerine, or an OTC product such as the Clean & Clear lines of skin cleansing products).

The best product I've found to help soften pearly cysts is Keratolux shampoo but, again, this is not an overnite fix. Sadly, there really are no overnite fixes for Crestie blackheds/acne/pearly cysts.

Also, please don't forget that the blackheads, etc., are not causing her any harm/pain....they bother us humans, not the dogs.
