I suggest re-emailing, this is a busy time of year. If we get dogs in with crate issues, they do not get crated. We may gate them off in a bathroom, etc., but they would never be put in a crate if it causes them such stress. I can tell you that none of my dogs are crated while we're at work. THey are gated off into my downstairs area. When I bring new fosters in they are crated (or separated in some manner)from my current dogs until I can be sure that everyone is getting along and there'll be no issues in my absence.
