I recently took on a crested ( I have always wanted one, they are so cute) He was rescued from a situation where he was not socialized, badly sun burnt, very untrusting of humans(or anything that moves). I have 3 other dogs of various backgrounds and breeds. They are all socialized, love people and animals. I am not sure if I should try doggy prosac to help calm his nerves? he pees and poops whenever scared or when he wants. I need to get him neutered and I know that will help with his marking. He does great with me. He doesn't like to be on a leash. I am thinking of crating him when I am not home to hopefully calm him and contain his potty problem. I have given in to potty pads and showed them to him but he does not want them. they think he is approx. 1 and 1/2 yrs. when he pees he gets it on his feet with hair is that common? I could really just use any helpful advice. Normally he will come to work with me as I have a dog store and soon to be doggy daycare. I am hoping that will help him. right now he has been exposed to kennel cough so i can't bring him to work just yet. I am hoping I did not bit off more than I can chew. so please help me as I have fallen in love with him and want to make this work. Thanks so much. signed uninformed, unsure, feeling helpless.
