Thank goodness some one else has this issue! I thought my HHL was a mutant! He had great hair when we got him. Just like his older sister(same parents). Lola has great hair. Jake now 6 months old has great hair on his legs & tail(and his hairy chaps are pretty nice too!) but his head... Is getting all cottony. You can see the color change from red to white to red. He has horizontal stripes in his Crest. It looks like a bad color job. LOL It is matting like crazy. I comb his crest out & in 2 mins it is all matted. We also have a Bearded Collie & even she doesn't mat this quickly.
