Thanks. You know, I knew there was a difference in then both, but until I pulled up those photos and did the whole comparison thing, I hadn't realized how significant it was. The dog went from cowardly windchapped little creature to a freindly, playful petand my son changed from the a scary looking, creepy spooky hoodlum into a regular kid.

I dont think any dog would have worked in this situation. Because my son was rejecting all things "normal" I think a cute little furry dog wouldn't have appealed to him... it had to be an odd looking little pet which he could identify with. Even though I still think Goblin looks like a science project gone horribly wrong (and I tease my son by telling him his baby is ugly), there is something so charming and appealing about him that it's hard to remember that other people think he's ugly!
