I think that there could be a number of things happening, but if the change has been a fairly recent one and if you have not yet, you may want to take him for a vet check. Our vet always told us that a change in behaviour, especially a sudden one, can indicate a health issue and since dogs cannot tell us when they are not well they will act out instead.
