When this happened and I got him to the emergency vet, they didn't give Jack much hope. They said he lost a lot of blood and in order to operate they would have had to give him a blood transfusion. And they didn't give him much more hope after that. I guess that's what bothers me. Maybe I should have tried? I even had my personal vet on the phone at 6:30 in the morning and he said there was no hope either. I know this was the right decision, but I always think, "what if". I'm sure you know how that is.

This was a very bad time for me. I had just put my other crested Elfkin to sleep due to bone cancer, only two weeks before.
