I have a Vivante XL laptop that won't charge the battery. I took the battery out of the laptop and charged it up and it ran the laptop for about two hours, but then it ran down, even though I had the AC adapter plugged in. I then took the laptop apart and found a cracked solder joint at the AC adapter hook-up, so I fixed that and assumed that was it. It still won't charge. I should have known it, though, since it didn't charge when it was on the port replicator, either. Any suggestions?
