Subject: Problem with networking using a PC card NIC

I am using a Linksys PCMIA PCM-100 ethernet NIC card on a Vivante SE 266. The problem is that the load time for a web page is incredibly slow compared to other systems (including a 233 MMX) running on the network. Any suggestions on how to tweak the Vivante to get it to load pages faster? I've tried everything, including reassigning a higher interrupt address to the PC card and I've fiddled endlessly with the IE settings. Other than that, everything is working fine, even after I wiped the hard drive and installed WIN98. I would appreciate any suggestions and/or tips.
