Hey guys,

I just got my new ThinkPad T21 today (sweet!) and I'll be getting rid of my Vibrant LS which is no longer reliable. *sigh* I'm not sure what I'm going to be doing with it yet.

My aunt seems interested because supposedly her neighbor fixes laptops and might be able to get it working properly again.

Although I will no longer be a Transmonde owner, this website will remain up. In case some of you don't know who I am, I own/maintain this messageboard and website.

If anyone is interested in a Vibrant LS, I have one and it *does* work. I won't lie to you about the problems with it, though:

* Battery doesn't charge anymore
* Powers off sometimes (when you bump the power cord and sometimes even randomly it seems! I don't know the cause)
* Cracks in chassis on/near hinges (I believe this is a design flaw, it happened before and I was able to get it fixed while ASE was doing the warranty support... then it developed again. I am *so* careful with my laptop I am 99.9% sure it wasn't anything I did.)
* Crack on the left edge where the case meets the keyboard
* Crack on bottom of the case where the vents are
* Some kind of hardware conflict with the sound card -- when I play mp3s/games sometimes the computer locks up. It has always done this and I've never found a fix. It's incredibly annoying.

I think that's it. Everything is pretty much in tact. It has a perfect 13.3" LCD (no bad/stuck pixels), 6gb HDD, 128mb ram, PII 300mhz, cd-rom drive, no built in modem.

Does anyone need any parts for a Vibrant LS? I'm not sure how much anyone would be willing to pay for it...
