Yeah, that's what my link was about. I tried this reg-fix myself and actually from first look it seemed Ok, but after a while I mean after time needed to tame the subjective fix-factor -- it looks like it doesn't fix it.

You probab;y know that this hack turn off power management i.e. modem stays in On mode all the time i.e. it eats up battery to be just on. As the result it also gets hoter.

Anyway it looks like fix it not working for me -- will try some else.
