After stopping in today to read most of these posts, I must say there is comfort in familiarity.
We have a once great and highly prized Vivante XL PII with a big screen, DVD drive, 100mb super disc drive and more. But now the screen has a vertical line on it and we need it fixed! With all these references to ASE USA, not one has actually given a phone or fax or email addy. The website itself goes nowhere (aseusa.com) and we fear the worst.
BTW, Trent, I am an electronics service tech too (musical instruments folks-don't ask me for computer fixes!) and I must say you are quite the nice guy taking the time to help all of us! Just think if you had a nickel...etc etc...
