Subject: Video noise/Loose connection (Trent,Ken ?)

Hi,

My question is of technical nature.
Since the first day on display of my Vivante SE there were _faint_ white raster lines ( like video noise, or e/m interference noise) in the upper right corner area ( about 1 inch wide) close to the suspend and brightness controls. Lines are horisontal of about 1/8 inch thick and are spaced evenly runnig in the vertical direction. This (video) noise reacted ( the vertical frequency/direction changed) on my hand being on the back of the LCD panel in the mentioned area.

There were nothing wrong with the machine in general, except suspend button often would not respond. But recently with the summer approaching and temperature rising, the noise looks like disappeared, and suspend buton is woking properly. But I noticed that when temperature is falling down the faint lines are back and suspend is suffering again.

It looks like there's a loose contact/connector somewhere or a pinched/cracked wire, or a crack on the board, but I'm not sure what to check.

So my question is where possibly the loose wire might be. And what circuits are in the mentioned area and how they connected to the board. I suspect the suspend switch, so where/how could I check the switch/connecting wires.

My warrany with ASE is over, so I'd appreciate your opinions and especially the ones of our valuable techs Trent and Ken.

Thanks,

Ashot
