I too recently purchased a battery for my Vivante XL. I have a couple questions to clarify what you posted.

Did you mean your computer will not work at all in DC or that Windows would not report a full battery charge? If the latter, did you check to see how many LEDs light up when you push the battery's built in meter?

Also, if the computer works in DC but reports the incorrect charge, try reloading the Windows power managment. Another thought, isn't there a function key that shows the battery charge (I can't confirm this because my computer is being worked on by ASE :-)).

Just curious, you said you learned the batteries 2x each. When I learned the battery it took over 8 hours. Did you take over 130 hours to do this? Did you by any chance terminate the process before BIOS indicated that the learning was over?
