The problem you're describing could be either the DC/DC board is not connected securely, has gone bad, or the motherboard has failed.

If you're technical, you might be able to check to see if the DC/DC daughterboard has come loose. First, disconnect AC and remove both batteries. Press the power button a couple times just to make sure you get all the juice out of it. You'll need to slide the plastic piece above the keyboard to the right and remove it. Carefully lift up the on keyboard, be sure not to pull on the keyboard ribbon cable. Under the keyboard you'll see a metal plate with a couple screws in it. Remove the screws and the metal plate. You will now see a circuit board about 2.5" x 2.5" in the middle of the body, closest to the screen. Use your thumb and push down on the board. If you feel it move down, this could be your problem. Once its been pushed down, put everything back together. Hopefully this will fix your problem. Good luck.
