Thank you very much Jessica. You diagnosed the problem correctly. My father said to please thank you for him too. Your message board is very helpful to those who cannot get technical support from Transmonde any more.

All my father had to do was hold the power switch down until the laptop was completely off. Then he turned the power back on and the computer booted back into Windows. It wasn't readily apperent to him where the "suspend to disk" data had gone to, but he wasn't too concerned about losing a few addresses he had typed.

He can't seem to find his Transmonde owners manual. Was there any instruction on the "suspend" feature in it?

Keep up the great work on the site. There is much valuable information here.
