Ho you all,

Reading from the posts , guess i was lucky to get My Vibrant LS last week (allthough ordered 4 weeks ago, prepayed 3 weeks ago @ date of delivery)

On the hardware side, the Transmonde is cool with capital K ;-)

Sound is blasting, screen is superb, ... everything is superb.

W98 : crap, crap, crap ... I didn't want to be biased after having used exclusively Linux for the last 3-4 years, and the linuxfriendlyness of the Transmonde was a major overhaul in my decision BUT ...

I was working for a mere 45 minutes on the laptop when everything froze ... couldn't even turn of manually with the powerswitch ... finally succeeded ... scary.

Linux install went VERY smoothly - used older RH5.2 - just out of the box install ... couldn't have been easier. I haven't been able to run X, as 5.2 didn't have the XFree86-3.3.3 server that supports the CT69000.

Just hope it will do 1024x768 as it does in Windows ... otherwise i might have a look at the Xi server that many are raving about, commercial though.
