This forum is getting a bit quiet. Thought I would stir it up a bit.

Indeed the sceen shortage is affecting Transmonde. However, I am disappointed that they could not even secure limited supplies.

Anyway onto the good stuff. I spoke to Transmonde today (nice people) and found out that the following:

1) The Vibrant XLe is not going to explicitly replace either the Vibrant LS or the Vivante XL. It is going to be a third line of notebooks.

2) It's form factor and case molding will be the same as the Vibrant LS.

3) It will sport a different color from the Vibrant LS.

4) It will have a 13 inch TFT screen.

5) It will have an improved graphics and video subsystem. In fact it will be better than the current Vivante XL.

6) It will have internal hardware DVD decoding (optional??).

7) It will not be shipping until late August at the earliest.

Also the Vibrant LS will resume shipments in 2-3 weeks.

The Vibrant XLe sounds like a great system.

I am only relaying what info I was told. It may not be 1005 correct. That's all.
