The battery is a NiMH battery. It is fairly standard. There is also a phone number on the battery itself which you can call and order direct. Even a new battery will only give you about 45 minutes to an hour. It is fairly old technology. The computer itself is extremely fast for a Pentium-166MMX. This attributes to the shorter battery life.
