I've wondered something like this myself. Many programs I use install from floppy, or need to write to a floppy, and insist on looking for an A: drive. Figured at some point Transmonde would release a workaround for this. Seems like it would require a BIOS change, but I'm not smart enough ;-| to comprehend all the requirements. Mark and I discussed this a couple times, but it didn't seem to be an urgent problem for Transmonde.
For example, my System Commander software installs from A: no problem, but upgrades need to verify original install disks in DOS ... and look to the A: drive. Additionally, functions like creating startup disks and virus emergency boot disks (from Windows) will only look for the A: drive.
Anyone out there have a workaround? I've heard this from other owners of laptops with LS-120's also.
