. striding swiftly, the stripling froze suddenly at the sight of the semi-familiar figure standing astride the girl. withdrawing into the cover of teh forest quickly, dog at her side, she crouched to avoid being spotted. already her heartbeat raced, persperation leaking through her palms. what was he doing here? no, no this couldn't be right. he must be here to take her back. moving slowly backwards she knelt down, paws placed 'pon the cool earth for support, to think this action over. what was she going to do? all of a sudden anger enveloped her, ooids focusing on the girl she barely knew. had she set this up? this was why Charlie kept to herself, she knew how to take care of her own life, it was no one elses business. if she was a runaway, so what. then the anger was forced upon Rowen, her silent glare towards him. why was he loking for her? trying to be a good friend? she didn't need him, she'd survived alone in alleys since she was younger, and without his help. why did she need anybody?
