A New Star
It's when all is silent all around,
and the sunset just isn't profound.
You lay upon the grass so green,
Staring up at the sky so serene.
An autmn leaf falls to the ground,
however you hear not a sound.
The silence is a killer you see,
Because with silence, you cannot be free.
A broken heart a shattered dream,
A distant cry a tainted gleam.
Don't give up don't let yourself down,
And please dont let happiness drown.
Up the steps and down the hall,
Another star shines bright and tall.
You close your eyes and let yourself fall,
And know that one day you'll see them all.

Our True Colours
Once a foreshadow it was,
seen from behind was the cause.
Still known to us are the many to come,
We see this, its there, still nothing is done.
To tell the difference you must look beyond,
Just don't be afraid to grow fond.
Look beyond the void and unserine,
Look past the colours of blue, deep red, and green.
If you think we dont know that we have been forsaken,
My dear friend, you are terribly mistaken.
We know all you see is the green and the blue,
The deep red, the indigo too.
Only love can relight the flame-please do,
Because, you see, we have feelings too.
Just see our true colours, just take a step back,
Most of us are sharper than a tack...
