I wonder whether you can tell me whether the Warspite was operational in 1891......I have a relative shown as ships boy in Woolwich on the 1891 census...handwriting is poor but it looks like it mentions the Marine Society. Also the heading to the page contains Wars...

Because there were so many adults, including Commander and his wife and daughter, and a female nurse and female servants I got the idea that this might be a land based "training ship".

Do you know where I can find any info on the Marine Society and the WARSPITE?
