I opened my eyes someone had interrupted me. I scaned the darkened cargo bay, my senses on alert. It took me only a moment to spot B'Elanna Torres standing near the alcove controls.
"Sorry to wake you," said B'Elanna. Like the others on board she did not properly refer to my regeneration cycle. I do not "sleep" as they did, so the term "waking up" could not apply to me. Instead during my regeneration cycle, repairs were made to my cortical subprocessor, and my day-to-day functions were improved.
Of course, i knew better than to corret Lieutenant Torres. That would lead to and argument- the same arguemant that we had had before, in fact- and that would be inefficient.
I remembered the flash back i had been having just before B'Elanna woke me. A dream, no impossible. If one doesn't sleep one cannot dream.
"I trust you had a reason for 'waking me'."
I waited to hear her reply planning to go to sick bay to find out why i had had a flash back and why now in the middle of the Romulan Empire.

I was looking at ops pannel. There was an odd readign coming in. It was a Starfleet transmission on a frequency not used for 30 years.
"Captain, there is a odd frequency coming in. It appears to be on a frequency that hasn't been used for 30 years."

I was cooking some of my "famous" liola root soup. It had just come to a sizzle and I was adding in some extra herbs when Naomi came in with a Katascaught(someone correct my spelling) board.
"Neelix, do you want to play?"
"Sorry Naomi, but I have to finish making this pot of liola root soup for tonight."
At that moment, the lights went out. Everything went dark. I pressed on my commbadge but it wasn't working. Then, somebody beamed in.

I stand and face opps. "Ensign Kim, open a channel. Tuvok, raise shields but do not fire on anything without my order. See if you can find out what it is." I turn toward the screen to get the message from the strange frequency. (Sorry I'm late, I was busy for the last couple days.)
