Re: aww, lanie! -- DeepaD, 04:37:55 07/13/02 Sat
Hey! I didn't mean to diss the Spuffy - and me a proclaimed SpikeHo! But the fact is, I have talked to W/T shippers who were hesitant to rec anything because of the bias they felt existed on the list. And I have to agree that non-Spike recs do tend to be ignored a little more.
Thank you for those links. Now I'm asking for another favour - me being extra-busy mod and all, do you think you could officially rec some stuff to the list. I want W/T in our bookmarks, and I want it in the archive. I also want to be able to go stright to a story that someone I trust has said is worth reading, since time is, alas, of the scarce.
And lanie, just so you know, I adore Willow/Spike. I checked out your new site when you first announced it - is it up and running yet?

I didn't mean it personally. *g* Not at all. I meant mostly comments onlist. My fear is that people onlist who aren't so boisterous in rec'ing may hesitate exactly as you say some W/T fans have hesitated. Which would be of the big suck variety. I'm all about rec'ing what you think is good and not just what you think the list will salvate over. Heh. That's not a good picture image.

Spike is pretty popular, that's a fact but ya' gotta push those bashful shippers out there. I can't imagine W/T shippers being bashful in all honesty, but that could be because my interaction with them happens to take place on W/T boards? *g*

Hmmm...ack. I'll have to go through em, there's a boatload of stuff at Wiccan Ways, and still yet a boatload in my inbox waiting to be archived. I can however speed the process up a bit and ask at Wiccan Ways boards for people to rec their favorite fics, then provide the links here on this board and let anyone interested in this thread check them out and decide if they're rec worthy.

It is, sadly with low submissions. Heh. Which reminds me of a description someone gave it on a links page that cracks me up...'Spike and his biteable gay girlfriend.' That's classic. I'm gonna' have to add that to the sites title somewhere.

That would be great! -- DeepaD, 02:21:09 07/14/02 Sun
I didn't mean to ask you to go through everything, but if you have a few favourite W/T that you can remember off the top of your head, then please do rec them list-wards. And yes, sending your Wiccan Ways posters this way would be muchly appreciated. Are any of them already on the list? I've been trying to get some Kittens i know to rec, but so far they prefer lurking... sigh.
I'll try and check out all the W/T stuff here, but I have a severe lack of time, so anyone reccing to the list will be held in high gratitude by me.
oh, and love the 'bitable gay girlfriend' - hee!

For the archive, I believe people have recommended Hth's Twenty-Eight Days and Sotto Voce before.
Two post-"Tabula Rasa" stories you might want to look at are Mad Poetess's Pianissimo and Minnow's Life in Shadow.
Wiccan Ways is a Willow/Tara archive.

Re: you too, Mel -- DeepaD, 04:46:42 07/13/02 Sat
Thanks a lot! I'm heading over to the bookmarks to make sure those recs are there. And since you've read some good stuff, can you rec it to the list too, please? We need more recs there. offical format and all....
