Proposal on ‘Good Diet, Good Health’ campaign
Dear principal,
Recently, a survey about eating habit of teenagers was conducted in school, the result shown that our classmates had a very bad eating habit. As a result, I was asked to write a proposal on holding a campaign ‘Good Diet, Good Health’.
First of all, a video show should be hold to enhance students’ knowledge on the side-effects of improper eating. The reason why I don’t choose delivering talk is that text isn’t powerful enough to leave a long-term impression on the students. From my experience of being a student, I know students will throw everything away from their mind within 2 minutes after having a text-based presentation or talk. I believe that seeing video could have a much better result than just hearing.
Secondly, a Game Day also should be in consideration. After seeing some impressive video, play games could further heighten our students’ awareness on the healthy eating topic. I suggest we can have our Game Day hold on both hall and playground. Moreover, in order to let our students to have more detail, display boards could also be put near game stalls.
Finally, in order to gain an even better result, we should educate our students on one special lesson. We need to get their attention on the value which they always believed. Teenagers always get misled by the mass media which always set unreasonable rule on today’s teenager, especially on women, we must teach them how to choose the correct or suitable messages that given by mass media or the society. They need to know slim doesn’t represent everything; human’s value doesn’t depend on appearance but on the mind. Teachers could deliver the above message through that lessons which I suggest to hold at least one per week and continue for three weeks.
I hope the above suggestion could help, and I wish you could consider my proposal.
Respectfully submitted
