Now did I say his life was proof of anything? No I said it had done everything needed to save people. And there are tons of things that you believe in that you cannot prove. For instance, I know you love your daughter, but I can't prove it. I can't see love, touch it, put it in a jar and measure it can I? So according to science love should not exist. But you know that you love her and that the love is there. What other proof do you need than that which is written on your heart?
There is no proof (scientifically) of God or Jesus. However there is historical proof. Many 1st centurey historians wrote about Jesus (Roman and Hebrew). And as far as the Bible goes the modern translations when compared to the oldest texts available show remarkable accuracy. There are no gross erros whatsoever. So it goes to show you that the popular belief of the re-writing of the bible is even false. You can look it up somewhere, but I forgot where it was. Give me a while to scrounge that up for you.
