I totally disagree! Eve didn't do anything she didn't want to do! Damn woman! She ruined it for us all!!! Ok just kidding... Actually it wasn't Eve's fault if you read the bible you will see that it was Adam who is blamed for the fall of man. He saw that Eve had sinned and instead of bringing her before God he sinned too so they would both be together. I guess he was thinking with the wrong head. Which is propably why the Jews have to be circumcised now...

But as far as original sin goes I would agree that because we are born from these two people we lost something that they had, which was that daily one-on-one relationship with God. (Hey God you check out that new K-19 movie? Bad ass huh?) So I guess through this baptism thingie the water is used by God somehow to begin making that bond with the child. I guess it's one of those little miricle things that He does all the time. Thats what they told me in church so sounds good to me. Because I would like to know what this "age of Maturity and understanding" is. Sounds pretty subjective. I mean if you sit there and tell your kids that they're going to hell every day it would seem like they wouldn't get a chance to ever be kids. Sounds like a boreing life not one full of joy and happiness that people always speak of.
