Subject: Mounts Feliz...

She leads Feliz over to the mounting block. Checking the girth and pulling her sturrips before getting on. She swings her leg over and sits comfortabley on the saddle. Adjusting her helmet, she walks on with Feliz. Her horse proceeded into the gate, but was a little hesistant. I nudged her side and she went forward. We walked around a couple of times before doing my post trotting. Feliz was a little strong, but half-halt did that trick. I did surphatine, figure of eight, until I was going to the opposite way. Then, I sat in my saddle a slow, yet steady pace of sit-trot. Then, I asked for a canter and so be it. Feliz sprang her legs out and stretched them full to a steady manner. Her canter was perfect today. The small breeze fel onto my face as I watched our corners. I felt Feliz gather her speed and I pulled on the reins hard. Noticing the action, Felz halted. I sighed for that's not what I asked for. I reveresed and did the same with a canter. Doing so, I noticed that there were a couple of jumps set up still. I took Feliz to a small x and she did perfect. So I patted her neck and smiled. Although Feliz was a x-country jumper she can do this too. I hopped off and led back into the barn.
