Dear Leo:

You can only be saved by faith in Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior. I assume your questions were jokey in a legalistic way because the Judaizers in the New Testament believed that the Old Testament dietary laws still applied to Christians. They do not and so we can eat pork, dog, or anything else God made -- but these meats do not save us and neither does learning Chinese or any other languwage.

Leo, your girlfriend sounds a lot smarter than you because she has the brains to be a Christian and you don't. Surely, you can see Jesus in her life. You shouldn't marry her if your not a Christian because that will make you unequally yoked and will cause problems. My first wife was not a Christian and boy oh boy was that a misteak! We split up over all kinds of things that 2 Christians would'nt have had problems with! So before you marry, get right with Christ. Otherwise, you'll be an unhappy man.
