An interesting perspective. I am interested in what you think that Al Gore might have done in response to 9/11, and the ensuing events.
The world is faced with the dilemma of how to liberate people from these terrible dictators which are at the extreme ends as SH was.
How do we respond to such cases in similar way to which we respond to other emergencies such as a famine in another nation? How can the international community liberate these wretchs while having no alterior motive than pure humanitarianism?
We find ourselves in supporting the liberation of the Iraqi's in a war that we, (or at least I did), basically opposed. I opposed it for the reasons you distrust Bush and company and his motives, and the lying they did to justify it. Now, of course, many previously anti-war types have forgotten the Bush attempts at deception and are supporting the war when they see how really terrible the SH regime actually was.
