Subject: Pat Robertson diagnosed with prostate cancer...I wonder who they will blame?

When I was a little kid, my aunt died rather horribly from cancer, so I post not to poke fun, but to raise the question as to how the evangelical crowd will interpret this event. As a sign of the error of endorsing Falwell? A curse from those "nasty" Pagans for being blamed for 9-11? A biological attack by those nasty "Ay-Rabs"???

Evangelist Pat Robertson to have prostate surgery
1 hour, 30 minutes ago

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (Reuters) - U.S. Television evangelist Pat Robertson said Thursday he has prostate cancer (news - web sites) and will undergo surgery next week.

Robertson, 72, the founder and head of the Christian Broadcasting Network, told his television audience he will have surgery next Monday to remove his prostate but the cancer did not appear to have spread.

His doctors expect a quick recovery and a return to a full schedule within weeks, a spokeswoman said. "Everything looks very optimistic, he expects to make a full recovery," she said.

Robertson, who ran for president in 1988 and built his religious broadcasting network into a multimillion-dollar business, has recently been pushing "age-defying protein pancakes" to his audience on the daily "700 Club" show.

The network's Internet site said the pancakes help protect against breast, uterine and prostate cancer. Robertson has also pitched age-defying shakes and antioxidants.
