Subject: Round him up, Leo, and we all can attend the Klingon fest in Brussels!!! :)
In reply to: Leo Pötsch 's message, "Ships passing in the night" on 13:47:14 07/20/01 Fri

L.Ron started to speak & write "the emperor's language" not long after he became 'clear'... so one must assume that all drunks speak Klingon.

August 8th - 12th, 2001
The annual summer conference crosses the ocean for our first European qep'a'. Join us in Brussels, Belgium for our eighth gathering, one which is sure to include many new faces as well as old familiar friends. Arrangements have been made with the Hôtel Van Belle, in family hands since 1905. This charming hotel is a mile away from the Grand Place, the heart of Brussels, and provides complimentary shuttle service in the mornings and evenings.

Conference Registration:
$25, before March 1, 2001
$35, after March 1, 2001
$10, daily rate

Supporting Membership:
$15, something new for those who can't attend but wish they could. Supporting members will receive the official qep'a' chorghDIch t-shirt. Due by July 1, 2001.

Opening Banquet: $25 (indicate dietary restrictions with payment)
Hotel reservations must be made no later than July 1, 2001. You can reach the hotel by phone + 32 2 521 35 16. Be sure to tell them you're with the Klingon conference. Not surprisingly, room rates are in Euros: €65/night for singles, €73/night for doubles, and €85/night for triples. Reservations must be made by fax, using this form. More information about the hotel is also available.

If you're not a citizen of Europe, make sure you have a valid passport for the trip. Especially U.S. citizens, who have been spoiled by domestic qep'a'mey these past seven years, need to be mindful that overseas travel requires a little more preparation. If you don't have a passport, the time to work on getting one is now. Turnaround time for getting a passport is routinely six weeks, so leave yourself plenty of lead time. A good resource for information on getting a passport (for U.S. citizens) is at the U.S. Department of State.

Schedules, further hotel information, maps, directions, and a list of preregistered attendees will be maintained on the KLI's website. Registration and banquet fees may be paid online with either VISA or Mastercard at our website through mid July, 2001. Checks and money-orders will be accepted until July 1, 2001, but must be drawn on a U.S. bank and made payable to "KLI." Send your payment to:
