I love this episode! It's definitely in my JAG top 10. It's got humor and HeroHarmy and is a great hour to just sit and watch. I think H&M were running together and had planned to. They live in different areas of the city so it's doubtful they'd pick the same running trail at the same time unless they'd arranged it. Harmy's so cute in this episode, his facial expressions are priceless. DJE could easily do comedy. (NT) -- Sarahsue, 21:12:44 07/22/05 Fri

Sarahsue, I think he could and has done comedy quite well. Check out the famous Seinfeld "The Couch", Mad TV ep, or "The Shrink Is In" (I know a lot of folks don't like that movie but I view it for what I think it was intended to be: a very broad bedroom comedy farce. I think in that light, he did a great job of playing comedy.) Just my thoughts and I'm no Roger Ebert. (NT) -- clr, 22:18:06 07/22/05 Fri

IMHO the humor *made* this ep. Without it the over-the-top acting by the cardiac surgeon, the lady doctor and most of all the terrorists would have rendered this a bad ep. When Harm's trying to diffuse the stairdoor bomb it's classic ("I won't touch that -- again"). Other call signs? How about Hot Rod (he does like to go fast and he drives a 'vette, hee hee). (NT) -- clr, 21:32:34 07/22/05 Fri

Also, the walking down the hall scene is in a video made by suzie and terrie from Isreal that was posted here a couple of months ago. It was to "You Are So Beautiful" by Joe Cocker. Maybe someone knows if it is still available somewhere (I don't know). (NT) -- clr, 21:57:09 07/22/05 Fri

A lot of humor in this ep. and all so good, Harm and Mac running and when the car hit him. Harm and the nurse ask for the bathroon, Hamr and Walter and the pregnant woman, but truly the best for me is Harm take the best of the people when he convince the young terrorist to help him. and Mac drive a very dangerous situation, so smart. And at the end an Israeli man with a palestinian heart.Priceless. Jag had a different vision of the world. They take person to person and all of us could be redeem.(NT)-- Gra, 21:40:31 07/22/05 Fri

I rate Code Blue as 5 on your scale and would put it definitely among the top l0 programs. I sent it to a friend as an example of JAGs best years ago. The humor is grand and adds greatly to the story. DJE is wonderful at it. It gives more play for his facial expressions. I think they were running together by design in what looks like Rock Creek Park. Without the accident DJE would have won. I believe it was in this episode I frst saw him running, before I knew he does, and as a runner myself I immediately recognized he is one. (NT) -- Truman, 21:43:47 07/22/05 Fri

Forgot to answer one question. Zapper is OK but I think Harm's call sign should be Hammer. Hope's screen caps are excellent. (NT) -- Truman, 21:57:37 07/22/05 Fri

Scale of 1-5 its a 4.Jag packed with humor and action. So good to see Harm so hot and Mac as well and especially they spend lots of time outside the office. This is the first we see of Francisco Quinn then in Black Jet and another ep.on Enemy Below. (NT) -- Reese, 22:09:30 07/22/05 Fri

There are a couple of other faces that are familiar in this ep. The blonde nurse is the same actress whose photo Harm found in Webb's apartment in "Webb of Lies". And the surgeon played the CIA guy in "Smoked" during Season 1. (NT) -- nancyeddy, 23:28:43 07/22/05 Fri

Wow nancyeddy, I recognized the doc as the Smoked guy, but the nurse as the pic at Webb's! Jeez, you have an amazing eye and recall! Hats (or should that be covers) off to you. (NT) -- clr, 23:54:17 07/22/05 Fri

Wish I could take the credit, but someone else pointed it out to me. LOL! And I think the guy who was second in command for the terrorists played in the Ambassador in "Embassy". (NT) -- nancyeddy, 11:54:57 07/23/05 Sat

Hi 5! This is one of my all time FAVORITE episodes; the humor makes it. The rest of it (overblown drama) was cartoonish almost, but from the moments in the exam room, to old Walter, and then the mother in labor - all just perfect. Funny, crisp, full of great visuals - super episode all around. Oh, and I vote for "Hot Stuff" for his call sign - heaven knows he makes me melt! (NT) -- Sunny, 22:09:02 07/22/05 Fri

I agree Sunny.. Hot stuff suits him best... Hard stuff might cut it too.. LOL (NT) -- Chris K - he's certainly the right stuff if nothing else, 23:35:03 07/22/05 Fri

Thank you Hope for the caps. This is another classic popcorn Jag I love.I dont like this Harmy haircut but the scrubs made up for it.I agree we have some memorable quotes from this episode, our hero Harm is in full mode and we also have cool action Mac and we hear her farsi skills.Looks like this is where the dating without calling it dating began for Harm and Mac.LOL LOL! (NT) -- StephanieY, 23:24:13 07/22/05 Fri

I have to agree with everyone.. without the humor it would have just been the same old same old - been there done that. Walter was a stroke of genius for humor, and the pregnant lady scenes were fabulous.. That line - I haven't got anything you haven't seen before makes me laugh out loud every time I see it. And let's not forget - Harm on the hunt... When he tells the dr he was a fighter pilot... sigh... oh that man is so scrumptious. (NT) -- Chris k- definitely rating it a 5 - one of JAG's best, 23:33:35 07/22/05 Fri

Looking back at the older episodes, I am noticing how much H&M's competitive nature -- both wanting to be on top -- is becoming a recurring theme. In this episode, each wants to outrun the other. (NT) -- Araninda, 00:02:00 07/23/05 Sat

They were competitive with each other but for the most part always seemed like good natured competition to me. Both going all out but being ok with losing to the other. (NT) -- Hope, 00:22:02 07/23/05 Sat

4.75--right up there near the top. Without the humor, I think this ep would have looked a lot like what we were getting in season 10: eps that had storylines with potential, but just weren't fleshed out with the character interactions and endearing qualities that we love so much. As for a call sign for Harm, in the context of this ep, I think "Stunner" would fit. And goodness knows Harm is stunningly gorgeous! (NT) -- JAG Junkie--and I'm stunned when I look at him LOL, 00:11:56 07/23/05 Sat

I'd give this one a 5. It had a serious story, but there was so much wonderful humour in it. The pregnant woman and the old man were both hilarious, and Harm played off them both so well. The way Harm and Mac worked together and related to each other was so easy and wonderful. From S7 to S10, the humour became less and less till it was non-existent. Homour was replaced by anger, distrust, and sadness. (NT) -- Cece, 00:39:15 07/23/05 Sat

There was humor in JAGathon, the beginning of Critical Condition, What If, Dream Team... (NT) -- Ava, 00:58:09 07/23/05 Sat

Yes there was humour in those episodes. As I said, the humour was in fewer and fewer episodes. It didn't die completely. (NT) -- Cece, 01:08:03 07/23/05 Sat

Cec I agree with you. Here they took a serious subject and still had fun without disrespecting the serious storyline. The Harm part was fun chasing and running from the terrorists but when they showed the terrorists in the OR, it got serious.JAG changed that in the last two seasons and so the eps were no longer fun. (NT) -- judi, 11:43:32 07/23/05 Sat

I give this one a 4. I liked it alot, but it wasnt my favorite. 2) If there hadnt been humor in this ep. I wouldnt have liked it at all.3) The call sign 'Zapper' didnt fit him at all, I know its not original...but 'Hammer ' fits him like a glove! (He sure hits me like a hammer!)I think they had to have planned to run together. I think Harm pushing Mac out of the path of the car was her first indication that she was important to him. (hence the awkward moment when she thanked him.) (NT) -- mkim, 00:59:54 07/23/05 Sat

I give it a 5, this is one of my all time favorites! IMHO it has a good balance of action and drama with the humor really making it the great episode it is. As for their running together, I think it was planned and as usual it turned into a competition! (NT) -- MAL, 08:33:21 07/23/05 Sat

4 This was never one of my favorites, but all of you have good points. The labor and delivery part was annoying to me. Loved the race at the beginning and Harm's interaction with the doctor. Flirty Harm doesn't appear much in later episodes, except with Mac. (NT) -- psych9, 09:55:39 07/23/05 Sat

Not trying to split hairs or anything but last time I looked, Hamas spoke Arabic - not farsi. The languages are nothing alike. We found out in In Country Mac couldn't understand Arabic. But it furthered the plotline so I don't mind the inconsistency. It was a great ep and lots of fun. Love Walter and the pregnant lady and of course Harm. (NT) -- judi, 11:45:32 07/23/05 Sat

When Harm gets hit, Mac tells the driver to "call 911", which would bring emergency services, but then she tells the clerk that she brought Harm in herself. Guess I'm splitting hairs too! (NT) -- Araninda, 11:58:43 07/23/05 Sat

I give it a 4.5. It was just plain fun to watch and I enjoy it just as much each time I see it. Thanks Hope for the missing scene. Since I didn't get to see it before, I wish it hadn't been cut out. Although to me their interaction in that scene seemed a little off to me I think USA shouldn't have cut it. It's too bad there weren't more comedic episodes like this one. (NT) -- Barbie, 12:17:13 07/23/05 Sat

I agree with my friend, Barbie. I had forgotten about that scene--it had been so long that I was thinking the conversation about comfort and speed occurred during the run. My favorite scene besides the close ups of Harm's twinkling eyes and killer smile and the back view was his scenes with the woman in labor. That look on his face after checking her dilation---is classic. At least USA didn't cut that one out. (NT) -- abrah, 12:29:05 07/23/05 Sat

I give it a 5. This is on my all time favorites list. I loved the humor in this episode and all the different expressions on Harm's face. Wallter and the pregnant women were wonderful choices. (NT) -- Gunshy, 12:50:58 07/23/05 Sat

Love the comedy too!!! Our Harm is a funny guy (among other things) and sure did miss that the last years. Gets a 5 from me. (NT) -- Jaggiegold, 14:52:55 07/23/05 Sat

Sorry I am late joining in. busy weekend. I would give it a 4 out of 5. I loved the pregnant woman scene. If it were only that easy to see the dilation. I would love to lift the covers to see if someone is 5 cm's. Ususally when I do that, the baby's head is right there and no one is ready! Especially the doctor. I end up delivering the baby. I loved the look on his face. I laugh everytime I see that scene. Also loved seeing the "lost" scene. Thanks. (NT) -- Martian Barb, 15:06:13 07/23/05 Sat

I thoroughly enjoyed this episode and got a kick out of the Mac-Harm moments too. I love those missing scenes from USA so thanks to Hope for the happy tender Harm and Mac memories. This reminds me to ask my friends for a complete copy of Code Blue and other eps with the missing scenes.Im shaking my head and LOL on the jogging scene of Harm and Mac.
