I really don’t care for this episode very much. The princess was immature and annoying and the whole plot just didn’t work for me. Harm did look good though and enjoyed him dancing with Mac. Bud and Harriet were cute. But not enough Mac and H/M interaction for me. Also hated Mac’s haircut in this episode so glad it didn’t last to long. (NT) -- Hope - guess I give it a 3, 21:36:16 10/28/05 Fri

I'll agree the princess was annoyingly immature given how old she should have been... but Harm was so darn cute, I loved him in Officer and a Gentleman mode...it was easy for me to ignore her behavior. LOL (NT) -- Chris K, 22:08:11 10/28/05 Fri

I loved it when he told one of Secret Service agents to sit in the back of the limo with them. Smart guy! It demonstrated alot of integrity on his part too! (NT) -- mkim, 22:22:46 10/28/05 Fri

I think that was the lawyer in him protecting their six. from the paparassi as well as rumor. (NT) -- Chris K, 22:37:45 10/28/05 Fri

R: 1-5. I loved W H except for one thing. I couldn't stand the princess for a number of reasons. I found her unattractive with her childlike voice. I didn't like her accent which appeared fakey. I didn't like her personality, and the whole Princess set up gave me the creeps. No good reason. I think Harm was amused by, but not attracted to, her. Harm, on the other hand was the quintessential James Bond character, dashing in his dress whites, and I could feel the chemistry between him and Mac. I loved the camaraderie between the two, the dancing, the sister comment, and the walk down stairs. (NT) -- Cece (If the princess had been played by someone like the agent in Blindside, I'd think entirely differently.), 21:37:45 10/28/05 Fri

First off - USA didn't cut the dance scene- It never aired on CBS - it wound up on the cutting room floor. What USA cut is Mac and Harm outside her office with Bud and Harriet on the floor picking up papers, Harm saying when awkwardness hits 40 dollars a barrel he wants the drilling rights to buds head, mac says he's slow to warm up, harm says love isn't baseball and mac says how would you know. (NT) -- Chris K, 21:52:19 10/28/05 Fri

Thanks, Chris, for the correct info on this. I had heard about the dance scene, so I was assuming it was a USA-cut. And thanks, Hope, for the clip. I had never seen that before either. (NT) -- Araninda, 22:21:10 10/28/05 Fri

they say the missing clip makes it more clear why Bud says no when Harriet says dance? I think it would be a fun cliip and I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it's still in a vault somewhere and will appear on a dvd some day before I die. (NT) -- Chris K, 22:39:01 10/28/05 Fri

Well, I loved the episode. I thought it was very cute. I loved his interaction with the princess. No, I don't think he was sexually attracted to the princess. I did love it at the end when she patted his six. But what I didn't like was Harm's hair. I really disliked the spikey look. I was always glad when he wore his cover. LOL (NT) -- judi, 22:00:04 10/28/05 Fri

Strong 5 - I love the playfullness throughout the episode. Definitely love the flirty Harm just wish he'd had Mac to come home to. THe thing that I've often wondered about Harm's attraction to the princess was, he seemed almost losing his resolve until she said her father said he was the only man he trusted. When Harm questioned -he said that? It makes me think that trust by the king, strenghtened his resolve to resist and do his duty- hence the comment you're an assignment. But since he teased he thought her kissing him was a good idea, I think he was at least tempted. moving on - i'm over (NT) -- Chris K, 22:03:01 10/28/05 Fri

I just think Mac was more carefree in season 2 - tptb hit her with a lot of stuff the next few seasons that hardened her made her. He may not have thought of her as a sister but he seemed to treat her as off limits. Yeah, I think they went together if for no other reason than they had a job to do to protect the princess regardless of the # of security. Now the thing I loved best about the episode - the banter. With everyone - it was sharp & crisp- between Harm and the king about the thrown, between Harm and Webb over the pigeons. Harm and Megan, the princess... great dialogue and laughs (NT) -- Chris K, 22:06:28 10/28/05 Fri

Enjoyed rewatching this one, though it was not a top 10 for me. I'll give it a 4. 2)I loved Harms reactions to everyone. He was flirty, but not inappropriately so with any of them. (Another reason to LOVE Harm) 3)I think Harm was attracted to her. I think he saw the 'responsible' princess growing out of her irresponsible behavior when she she spoke of her father while they were aboard ship in Norfolk, and when she stepped up at the end of the ep and announced her country's memebership in NATO. I think the princess was a bit grating at times, but Harm wasnt looking for a wife anyway. It was an innocent flirtation.
4)I do see Mac as a romantic but I think Harm was too in a way. When he walks Harriet into Bud's office and grins at Mac when he sees Bud's reaction, that was pricelss!
5)I think Harm felt a strong attraction to her, but they werent completely connected yet. I loved the soft look on his face when he was telling her he didnt think of her as a sister. 6) I dont think they did come to the ball together, but I couldnt prove it. I thought Harm was still 'on assignment' with the princess, though she wasnt really happy with him at that moment.(NT) --mkim

Just as an aside, all of the uniforms looked great, but I got to see my favorite, khaki's! That's what we called them anyway. Even AJ wore them and he didnt look too bad in them either.(smile) (NT) -- mkim, 22:26:18 10/28/05 Fri

4.5 I love this ep. So many funny moments--from the mating pigeons line, to Harm in the shower with a hammer, to Harm's reaction when the princess kissed him. And then there is the "I don't think of you as a sister" line. Sigh... (inside) -- JAG Junkie, 22:21:14 10/28/05 Fri

Great summary! I think Harm went to the ball in a semi-official capacity as the Princess' escort. Bud needed a date because he still acted like he was in high school. I think Harm was attracted to the Princess in a "casual" sort of way. The Officer and a Gentleman scene I thought was cheesy. I need both the flirty AND the serious Harm...part of what makes him the complete package. Fun episode. (NT) -- psych9, 08:46:05 10/30/05 Sun

Hated Mac's hair, didn't like the Princess' voice. Other than that, it was entertaining enough. What stands out for me in this episode is a trend that I noticed throughout the series. No matter how much flirtation Harm has with any random girl they throw into the plot, it's always his interactions with Mac that ring true, and are most important. Just a small example of this happening in another episode is when Harm and Mac were returning to JAG headquarters, and Mic and Renee' were waiting for them, and they hugged Mic and Renee', while still looking at each other. (NT) -- Theresa - who is brain dead today, and can't adequately explain anything., 22:24:39 10/28/05 Fri

I have mixed feelings about this episode. I find the humor very good, but I'm not crazy for the spoiled brat princess. Harm is so hot he sizzles, so that alone makes this worth watching. I also enjoy Nanci's role. Too bad she was the killer, she would have made an interesting neighbor. (NT) -- SueM, 22:25:10 10/28/05 Fri

The episode was alright. Not really my favorite. I just find it all corny and yes the princess annoyed me,all I can think of she's Slater's gf in Saved by the Bell.LOL! (NT) -- StephanieY, 22:31:13 10/28/05 Fri

I enjoyed this one. I'd give it about a 3.5. It was a fun episode. I loved the flirty, fun side of Harm. I would love to watch it again, if only I would have not taped over it by mistake! (NT) -- Martian Barb, 22:39:29 10/28/05 Fri

I loved this ep, mostly for the humor and Harm’s interactions with everyone – the princess, the king, the neighbor, Webb, the unhappy agents. I would give it about a 4.0. 2) Flirty Harm was very fun to watch. I actually wish we had seen more of him later on. 3) I don’t think Harm was seriously attracted to the princess. I think if she had been more mature, he would have taken her role as understudy to her father even more seriously. He understood completely that theirs was a very temporary relationship. 4) I like to think of Harm as romantic. He certainly enjoyed watching Harriet and Bud and was willing to participate in Mac’s scheme at the ball, even as he was still trying to do his job. 5) I think Harm was still trying to figure out his relationship with Mac; I think all he knew for sure was that she wasn’t like Kate or Meg.
6) I think they probably came to the ball together, but not as “dates.” I don’t think either of them cared about having a date. Mac was more concerned about Bud and Harriet and Harm was concerned about the princess. (NT) --Tina

I like the ep. because there are many good and funny situation but I only give it a 3 because the plot is silly . The conversation about pidgeons and "I was in the bathroom... with the hammer? between Harm and Webb are very hillarius and ones on my favorites. I like this young Harm. He flirt, but he is respectful. He flirt with Megan because they are adults, without sig.others and she is beautiful. But she don't flirt in that way with the princess. May be because he thinks that she is young and she has a difficult position right now and she need a break. He gave her a break when he didn't tell Webb where she is. She is not silly, she is young and like other like young girl try to be rebel and . Very difficult in her world. But She apreciated the honest Harm's answer to her father and she knows her obligation to her country. She knows she is safe with Harm because he is a honest man. We see a big clue here: Harm don't see Mac like a sister, but in his mind Mac is his only partner yet. I think Harm see Mac like a desirable woman but his mind only allow him to think about it for a few minutes. I like this young, free and flirtatious Harm and I love the adult, gorgeous, responsible and sensible man that he was at the end of the show. (NT) -- Gra
