We The People

JAG moved from NBC to CBS with this episode and Harm gains a new partner, Marine Major Sarah MacKenzie. Harm and Mac have their first meeting in the White House Rose Garden. AJ orders Harm, Mac and Bud to join forces with Clayton Webb to track down Colonel Matthew O'Hara, a highly decorated veteran who has stolen the Declaration of Independence. O'Hara, who turns out to be Mac's uncle, claims he's temporarily taken control of the document as a wake-up call to politicians who have lost sight of its true meaning.

Secrets

An escaped military prisoner, claiming his court-martial for espionage was a frame-up, takes AJ, Mac and Bud hostage in AJ’s office and insists they retry him. But investigating the man's claims could be a problem, as all records of the case have been sealed by the CIA. Harm acts as intermediary and uncovers new information about the original trial.

Jinx

A series of mysterious deaths plague an F-14 squadron in which Harm’s friend, Luke Pendry, once served. During Harm and Mac’s investigation into the mishaps, they learn that the squadron is considered jinxed, stemming from an accidental bombing of an Iraq mosque during Desert Storm. Now only one of the fliers involved in the bombing is left, and Harm proposes to fly with him in order to restore the squadron's confidence. This episode reintroduces Annie Pendry and her son Josh.

Heroes

Harm and Mac face off in court for the first time in the case of a Navy Seal accused of murdering his closest friend during a mission against terrorists. Despite evidence to the contrary and the accused's unwillingness to cooperate, Mac, who is defending him, feels there's more to the story than meets the eye. Her fervor causes Harm, who is prosecuting the case, to dig deeper into the dead boy's personal life. Harm discovers that it isn't a case of murder -- but, in fact, the victim begged his friend to kill him in order to keep a secret from his father, a strict former Navy petty officer. This episode features the scene where Harm fires an automatic weapon in the courtroom. The last scene of this episode is a favorite of shippers -- Harm and Mac eating lunch on Harm’s bed.

Crossing the Line

Harm and Mac investigate a female fighter pilot's charge of sexual harassment against her commanding officer. The pilot, Lt. Marilyn Isaaks, claims to have been grounded for pressing charges of sexual harassment against Tom Boone, the ship’s CAG. Boone claims he grounded her because she's a bad pilot. Congresswoman DeLong arrives onboard and applies political pressure to schedule Isaaks for a training flight -- an action that Harm feels will have deadly consequences. Harriett Sims is introduced in this episode and she and Bud begin a romance.

Trinity

Harm and Mac travel to Belfast, Northern Ireland, to negotiate the release of Lt. Linda Nevins' baby, who was - according to her - kidnapped by Lorcan Barnes, the baby's father and a notorious IRA terrorist. Harm discovers that Lorcan is innocent of the kidnapping and that a vengeful officer in the Royal Ulster Constabulary has, in fact, engineered the kidnapping and is using the baby, Harm and Mac as pawns in his attempt to capture Lorcan.

Ghosts

The JAG team discovers an evil plot by a rogue CIA agent after two attempts are made on Admiral Chegwidden's life. After Harm and Mac uncover the fact that all the members of the admiral's former SEAL team have recently died under mysterious circumstances, the JAG team learns that AJ and his team were part of a CIA-controlled mission during the Vietnam War. Suspecting that the murder attempts may be connected to the mission, they start an investigation that leads to the rogue agent's plot to eliminate all witnesses to a terrible incident that occurred during the mission. But when the assassin kills AJ’s girlfriend, he decides to take action -- even if it means losing his stripes.

Full Engagement

On their day off, Harm takes Mac for a flight in his Stearman airplane, only to be forced to make an emergency landing in a mountain clearing because of mechanical problems. While in search of help, they unwittingly surprise a band of backwoods poachers who have just murdered a game warden and who are now determined to kill Harm and Mac. Their lives in jeopardy, Harm and Mac must utilize evasive military maneuvers to escape the murderers who are now tracking them.

Washington Holiday

Harm escorts a rambunctious Romanian princess around Washington, whose life has been threatened if her father, the king, petitions for his country to join NATO. Meanwhile Bud has his first date with Harriet Sims. Harm dances with Mac in a scene at the NATO ball and says he doesn’t think of her as a sister.

The Game of Go

A Colombian drug lord wants to deal for the life of a Marine who was left behind when the covert mission to kidnap him went awry. This episode features the scene between Harm and Mac about dress whites and gold wings being “highly overrated.”

Force Recon

Harm goes undercover as a Marine gunnery sergeant to help Mac investigate a captain suspected of unnecessarily putting his troops at risk during a training exercise that injured two of his men. USA network usually cuts the scene of a shirtless Harm training for his undercover assignment in the backyard of a retired drill instructor. This episode features Harm and his squad in a bar brawl and Mac ordering Harm to salute her because she’s an officer and Harm is in his undercover enlisted rank.

The Guardian

In civilian court, Harm and Mac defend a former Navy Seal, Paul Bauwer, now a homeless man, who is accused of using excessive force in killing three men who tried to hold up a convenience store. It seems like an open-and-shut case of triple homicide until Harm and Mac discover that the former Seal acted instinctively at the store as he sought to protect a young boy -- who happened to be his estranged son. Bauwer wants to keep his identity a secret from his son. As a result, Harm and Mac must devise a successful defense without divulging their client's relationship to the only witness to the incident, while at the same time proving that Bauwer acted in an appropriate manner.

Code Blue

Harm is hit by a car while running with Mac. Though hospitalized with a knee injury, Harm is forced to take action when members of Hamas, a terrorist Islamic Resistance group, takes the hospital patients and staff hostage. An Israeli diplomat undergoing a heart transplant provides the Hamas terrorists with the perfect negotiating tool. They take over the operating room -- as well as the entire hospital -- and use the diplomat as leverage while demanding the release of one of their imprisoned leaders. Mac tries to negotiate with two of the terrorists while Harm has a deadly encounter with their leader.

Cowboys and Cossacks

Harm, Mac and Bud are assigned to be official observers during a joint war games exercise between U.S. and Russian naval forces, but the games take a deadly turn when the rival captains decide to make the battle real. The captains are bitter enemies from Cold War days and have deemed this their final grudge match. Both are determined to make it a battle to the death, even if it means going down with their ships -- and taking everyone on board with them. The episode features scenes of a wet Harm in a tank top struggling to save the Russian ship from sinking.

Rendezvous

Mac is assigned to defend an admitted wife abuser whom Harm is prosecuting for the murder of his wife's boyfriend. Mac finds herself detesting the man whom she is supposed to be defending -- a man who reminds her all too well of her abusive father. This episode features a scene in Mac’s motel room in which she tells Harm about her past. Another scene takes place in a gym in which Harm tells Mac that he doesn’t “give a damn” about the wife abuser, but “I do give a damn about you.”
