Adrift - Parts 1 and 2 (Season 6/Season 7)

Mac is disappointed when Harm tells her his annual carrier-landing qualifications will prevent him from attending her wedding rehearsal dinner. He promises, however, not to miss the wedding. A man of his word, Harm completes his quals and grabs the last flight allowed out before a huge storm hits. But when contact with Harm's plane is lost, word of his predicament reaches the wedding party and guests as they gather for the rehearsal dinner.

In Part 2, Harm is feared lost at sea as Mac, Mic, Rene and the JAG team await word from the rescue carrier about the search. Harm is rescued and transferred to Bethesda. Mic notices Mac's distress over Harm and makes a decision about their future. Harm tells Mac to “come to me” but before she can arrive, Renee’s father dies and she seeks comfort from Harm.

New Gun in Town

Unwilling to face questions about her cancelled wedding, Mac requests and is granted temporary duty aboard the USS Guadalcanal in the Indian Ocean. Harm attends Rene's father's wake then returns to JAG. Sturgis Turner, a long-time friend of Harm's, has been reassigned to JAG, and the two men face off in a case involving an unauthorized flight in a military plane by a young seaman. A scene in this episode is the one-on-one basketball game between Harm and Sturgis during which Sturgis asks “Have you got a girl?” and Harm’s reply “Nope, she’s got me.”

Measure of Men

Aboard the USS Guadalcanal, Mac prosecutes a Marine major accused of negligent homicide by the ship's captain. Much to Mac's surprise and dismay, Harm arrives on board to defend the major and also try to clear the air with Mac regarding their relationship. This episode features the scene in which Mac asks Harm “what are you willing to give up to have me?” and asks if he would be willing to give up Renee.

Guilt

Mac and others are trapped in the American Consulate building in Indonesia by townspeople demanding the surrender of a marine accused of raping a local woman. Harm defends a marine accused of murder after he kills a man who caused an uproar on a civilian airplane.

Mixed Messages

After a break-in and murders at a Naval Annex building in Washington, D.C., Harm finds out that one of the victims was a friend who is also suspected of passing information to the Chinese. Renee shows up at JAG headquarters and tells Harm that she’s marrying Cyrus, the mortician. Mac searches for the young girl she left behind in Indonesia.

Redemption

In the course of defending an old friend accused of fraternizing with a female lieutenant, Harm discovers that the man may be selling information about classified technology. Mac attempts to help a young lieutenant who is trying to win custody of her daughter from her abusive husband. This episode features the scene in Mac’s apartment in which Harm says that he drove 70 miles for the bad coffee and “to catch you in your pajamas.”

Ambush

Harm defends a Marine captain accused of disobeying orders by pursuing rebels after they attacked a U.N. convoy, thus causing the death of six Marines in an ambush. The captain insists that he was following orders to attack that were implied by his commanding officer. As the investigation progresses, Harm finds the chain of evidence goes high up the political ladder to Congresswoman Bobbi Latham who may, herself, have played a part in the implied orders. This is the episode in which Bobbi and Sturgis meet at a political reception and become attracted to each other.

Jagathon

Personal rivalries surface in the JAG office when Mac assures Harm that she'll beat him to the finish line in the JAG-a-Thon for charity. Harm then sticks his foot in his mouth by giving Mac a three-minute head start in the race. Meanwhile, testosterone levels rise when Gunny and Tiner battle head to head to see who is in the best condition for the race. And, true to form, Lt. Singer starts a betting pool on who will finish the race last, leaving Lt. Roberts feeling crushed that his co-workers favor him. At the end of the race Harm tells Mac that Renee has left him, leaving Mac to ask him where does that leave us? Harm replies “at the end, I guess” and Mac says: “how about back at the beginning?”

Dog Robber (Parts 1 and 2)

Part 1 - When a Navy spy plane is captured by China, Harm is asked to accompany a retired Admiral Boone to negotiate the release of the plane and its crew. As Harm and Admiral Boone return with the crew, one of the U.S. Navy fighter escorts goes back to the Chinese airfield against orders and destroys the spy plane to keep its technology from falling into Chinese hands. In part 2, Harm defends the Navy pilot, who believes his bombing of the U.S. spy plane is in keeping with the Naval code of not surrendering the ship. Mac investigates a charge of sexual harassment when a female officer complains that a Marine colonel publicly humiliated her when her training tape is shown on a television show.

Answered Prayers

Harm finds himself saddled with responsibility for a larcenous young female petty officer over the Christmas break because all the brigs are closed for the holidays. Adding to Harm's holiday woes are several puzzling cell phone calls from Clayton Webb and the apparent theft of the Corvette he was rebuilding. Meanwhile, Admiral Chegwidden finds tries to find a solution when the public reacts angrily at the Navy for rounding up and holding reindeer that wandered onto the runway at a U.S. airbase in the Artic region.

Capital Crime

Mac's psychic vision talents come into play when a female Naval officer is found with her throat slashed in a local park. What originally seems like a love triangle murder case becomes much more when Mac's "visions" show her puzzling images that lead to evidence of an international conspiracy to steal nuclear weapons. Harm investigates an apparent suicide aboard an aircraft carrier. Probably the most notable scene in this episode is Mac’s confession to Sturgis that she’s in love with Harm.

Code of Conduct

Harm defends a Navy Seal charged with disobeying orders when he puts his team in danger to retrieve the body of a fellow Seal in a hostile area of Afghanistan. Mac defends A.J. when he's filmed slapping a high-school student.

Odd Man Out

When a Marine is murdered during a tactical exercise, a Navy corpsman is accused of the crime. With Harm defending and Mac prosecuting, Bud is chosen to serve on the jury. Bud uses his knowledge of the law during deliberations to help the jurors question the facts of the case and acquit the corpsman, but then discovers that he was wrong.

Head to Toe

Harm and Mac are sent to Saudi Arabia to defend a female Navy pilot who refuses to follow the local laws and wear traditional Saudi dress and veils. Meanwhile, Sturgis and Bobbi Latham have a rocky first date, making the possibility of a second seem remote until Harriet and Bud come to the rescue.

The Mission

Harm and Mac are sent to the USS Seahawk to brief JAG officers on the new rules of engagement following the escape of Taliban fighters as a result of a JAG officer's hesitation. While Harm is aboard the ship, the captain asks him to fly a bombing mission into Afghanistan and Harm's plane sustains critical damage from enemy fire. Bobbi Latham taps Sturgis to work as her aide for a military appropriations session. Bud and Singer are locked in a head to head court battle while the Admiral suggests that for the sake of his career path, Bud should consider sea duty or a foreign posting.

Exculpatory Evidence

Bud is on trial for dereliction of duty when an investigation suggests that he did not provide a competent defense for his client. Harm defends Bud while Sturgis prosecutes and calls Mac as a surprise prosecution witness.

Hero Worship

Mac prosecutes and Harm defends a young sailor accused of causing a fire aboard a destroyer. Harm discovers that the seaman may be willing to risk his career in order to protect someone he considers to be a hero. AJ takes up the cause of a World War II veteran who is excluded from a presidential function because he was recently charged with shoplifting.

First Casualty

ZNN reporter Stuart Dunston is tried in military court for disobeying orders and using his satellite phone while traveling in Afghanistan with soldiers who were ambushed. Bud leaves for a six-month deployment aboard the USS Seahawk.

Port Chicago

In the midst of World War II, an explosion rocked the U.S. Navy's Port Chicago near San Francisco, killing more than 350 sailors, most of them African-Americans. Following the blast, a group of 50 sailors refused to return to work until changes were made to assure their safety. They were charged with mutiny and court martialed, but later their convictions were reversed. Now, a surviving sailor wants his record and those of all the other "mutineers" cleared. Sturgis handles the case and goes up against Lt. Singer. Meanwhile, Harm goes house shopping with Harriet.

Tribunal

The capture of a suspected terrorist leads to the first U.S. military tribunal in 50 years. AJ defends the terrorist while Mac and Harm prosecute. Hoping to find a witness for their side, Mac and Clayton Webb travel to a prison camp in Afghanistan, where Mac's life is threatened during an uprising. One of the most memorable scenes in this episode is Harm and Mac’s dinner at Harm’s apartment before they leave for the tribunal, and Mac’s lines “Don’t be gentle. Be good.”

Defending His Honor

Harm defends Capt. Sebring, a JAG judge accused of causing a road rage car accident that killed a child. Meanwhile, Clayton Webb continues the search for Kabir, the elusive Al Qaeda terrorist who was last seen making a suspicious deal with a senior Russian Navy submarine captain.

In Country

Harm and Mac investigate a "collateral damage" incident in Afghanistan when an attack on an Al Queda terrorist kills three innocent civilians. With the help of forensic pathologist Cmdr. Teresa Coulter, Mac and Harm try to find out if any of the remains can be identified as belonging to Al Queda leaders. Meanwhile, when Harm and Mac lose control of their Humvee, they are thrown into a minefield where they're forced to spend the night together during a bombing attack.

Enemy Below

Naval intelligence learns that Kabir, an Al Qaeda terrorist, is planning a missile attack on the U.S. fleet in the Arabian Sea with the help of a legendary Russian submarine. To prevent the disaster, Mac is dispatched to the USS Seahawk; Harm pilots a fighter; and Turner, a former submariner who knows the Russian's tactics, is sent aboard the Navy's engaging sub. The last scene was a shocking season finale when it first aired as Bud accidentally steps on a land mine.
