A Tangled Webb (part 2)

Harm and Mac, having destroyed a shipment of Stinger missiles, survive their plane crash and pursue Sadik, the Arab terrorist responsible for brutally torturing Webb. Key scenes in this episode are Mac in the bathtub with Harm saying he had forgotten how beautiful she was, Harm and Mac sharing a bed in Paraguay, and the ending scene where Mac says they both want to be on top.

Shifting Sands

When a female petty officer thought to be MIA is found by U.S. troops in Iraq living as the wife of a Bedouin sheik, Mac is assigned to defend her on the charge of desertion. Harm learns he cannot return to Jag. His resignation papers have been processed and he is now officially a civilian. Coates becomes the Admiral’s yeoman. A key scene in this episode is Harm and Mac visiting Webb in his hospital room, Webb whispering to Mac, and Harm walking out. Harm is offered a job with the CIA. In the last scene, Mac overhears Harm telling Webb about his new job.

Secret Agent Man

Harm’s new job with the CIA takes him to Manila where his dangerous first mission is to go undercover to prevent a Philippine radical terrorist from overthrowing the government. Harm’s mission begins with flying a C-130 transport to a remote location in the Philippines and to drop a specially-outfitted limousine. His flying partner is Beth O’Neil, who left the Navy after Harm defended her of sexual harassment charges in Season 8’s “Offensive Action.” Their contact in the Philippines is killed, and Harm and Beth become field agents to prevent a militant coup. Meanwhile back at Jag, Mac investigates when Mikey’s roommate at the Naval Academy is accused of plagiarism on an English assignment.

The One That Got Away

Mac defends a Marine whose actions may have caused the deaths of two fellow Marines and the capture of the rest of his team, while the accused found his way to safety 200 miles away. What starts out as a test flight for Harm in the CIA’s top-secret, super-sonic Aurora spy plane turns into a dangerous mission to take photos over North Korea. This episode features Harm in an astronaut type spacesuit.

Touchdown

Harm’s mission to retrieve a compromised CIA agent in Iraq becomes more difficult when the agent's family needs to be rescued as well. This is the episode in which Harm lands a C-130 on an aircraft carrier deck.

Back in the Saddle

The CIA fires Harm because of the publicity he received when landing the C-130 plane. Harm finds a job crop dusting for a teenage female boss. Back at JAG headquarters, the overworked staff finds itself even more shorthanded by the discovery that Harm’s replacement, Lt. Cmdr. Carolyn Imes, has falsely claimed that she is a lawyer. This episode is the first appearance of Mattie Grace. This episode also features Harm on a motorcycle and a terse discussion between AJ and Harm about returning to Jag.

Close Quarters

Returning to JAG, Harm finds himself buried in backlogged work, but still tries to find time to help a Navy vet, Ossie Davis, in trouble with the law for theft. A submarine picks up a North Korean crew imperiled by what is believed to be a SARS outbreak and Sturgis investigates.

Posse Comitatus

A Marine pilot faces a court martial when he opens fire in a civilian hostage situation in spite of a federal law that limits military involvement in civilian affairs. Mac prosecutes and Harm defends the pilot. Meanwhile, Sturgis represents a Navy doctor whose medical education the Navy paid for, but who now claims that his newfound Quaker religion prevents him from serving when his unit is called to active duty.

The Boast

Harm and AJ get involved in the case of a Navy All-Star baseball pitcher charged with assault after he hits a Marine batter with a bean ball pitch. Mac defends a Marine who boasted of killing an Iraqi POW to a newspaper reporter.

Pulse Rate

When a sailor is electrocuted while servicing a radar antenna on board a destroyer, Harm and Mac travel to the Mediterranean to investigate what seems to be an accidental death. Coates becomes involved in helping AJ plan his upcoming wedding to Meredith.

A Merry Little Christmas

Harm files a court petition to assume custody of Mattie Grace. This is the episode in which Mac appears in court and says that Harm is the kind of man she would want to father her child.

A Girl’s Best Friend

AJ launches an investigation into the illegal diamond trade when he discovers that the diamond in Meredith’s engagement ring might have been smuggled. This is the episode with the shocking finale as AJ finds Meredith in bed with another man. Mattie and Coates become roommates with an apartment down the hall from Harm’s. This episode includes a scene where Harm brings Mac to Coates and Mattie’s apartment and he stands and watches the three females interact.

Good Intentions

Harm and Mac get involved in the case of a male petty officer accused of murdering a female officer. Mac defends the suspect, who was intoxicated and has absolutely no recollection of the entire evening. Mac believes that her client is not guilty and turns to the Navy chaplain, who has been consoling the accused and his wife, for more information about the couple and to determine if the murder was a love triangle or something else. Meanwhile, Harm discovers that the real killer is the chaplain, a drug addict, who was caught buying drugs by the female officer.

People v. SecNav

After a Navy fighter drops bombs on an Iraqi hospital, Harm and Mac defend the Secretary of the Navy against war-crimes charges in the International Criminal Court at The Hague. Little AJ goes missing from a video game arcade and Mikey is blamed.

Crash

When a pilot crashes his plane into the deck of an aircraft carrier, it is first thought to be a suicide. Harm flies a duplicate mission and proves that the automatic guidance system was programmed wrong by a petty officer. Bud then talks the petty officer out of committing suicide. Mattie has a run-in with her English teacher over missing assignments.

Persian Gulf

Sadik Fahd, the Arab terrorist from Paraguay, resurfaces and stalks Mac. Harm temporarily loses his hearing when a car battery blows up in his face. This is the episode in which Mac shoots Sadik twice, once for Harm and once for Webb.

Take It Like a Man

Mac deals with the psychological impact of killing Sadik Fahd and is ordered to therapy by AJ. This episode contains the bedroom scene between Clay and Mac. Harm and Mac apologize to each other through their statements and questionings during a court case. Bud loses a snake which is evidence in a smuggling case. The episode was directed by DJE.

What If

As the JAG crew celebrates Coates' promotion at a Chinese restaurant, the ritual reading of fortune cookies causes each of them to imagine what might have been if they had made different decisions over the years. Harm daydreams that he is married to Mac but she is divorcing him and marrying John Farrow.

Hard Time

After Mac is slugged in the courtroom by the female Marine she convicted, she raises the ire of the judge by questioning his decision to have the court bailiff escort the prisoner. As a result, Mac is punished by being assigned the task herself. When their trip is extended due to travel problems, Mac becomes more familiar with her prisoner and learns that she may not be guilty after all. Harm investigates the case of a Fleet Training Instructor who was deactivated due to his HIV status.

Fighting Words

Harm and Mac square off in the courtroom when a General is accused of making negative remarks about Islam while in uniform during a church sermon. Sturgis is charged with prejudice against the Koreans during his investigation in the episode “Close Quarters.”

Coming Home

As the grieving mother of a Marine killed in Iraq prepares for her son’s body to arrive home, Harm steps in to help when he learns that she is being hounded by reporters wanting to interview her about her tragedy. This episode contains the scene where Mattie asks Harm if he loves Mac.

Trojan Horse

After Navy SEALs confiscate a shipment of heroin on a Pakistani freighter, a kilo is discovered missing and Harm and Mac are assigned to find out what happened to it. Mac interrogates the suspects with MI-6 agent Simon Tanveer. Mac is intrigued and aggravated by Simon as they discuss life as a spy.
