Delete a LL thread?? No way. What haven't we discussed? Oh, did you love Gloria's hair? LOL. Seriously, this episode kept us hostage to JAG for the next four years. It was a stroke of genius for tptb. It showed in every way that Harm and Mac were in love, and that Mic and Renee had a right to be worried. I wonder how many of us have had a love we have not pursued, or have given up, and wondered why? I don't mean being unhappy with the one we've ended up with, or with being single. I'm just wondering how a couple, like H and M, could deny their feelings, and go their separate ways. (NT) -- Cece, 13:50:08 06/19/05 Sun

"Lifeline" is one reason I can still watch season 6. Now, of course, I look back on it with fond remembrance, but at the time, I was so unhappy about the lack of H&M explanation and so worried about what tptb would do, I couldn't enjoy much of it. "Lifeline" redeemed all that immediately. It was an episode I had been yearning for without knowing it. It really said so much about who they were to each other and what they'd been through, I cheered through every frame. Or at least, I cheered until that particular 58 secs (I think I got the time right) when I held my breath and sighed. (NT) -- Dancer, 14:08:47 06/19/05 Sun

Well, jagnuts, I think you may have a point . Harm and Mac both were afraid to loose the friendship they had for each other. I can understand that from a personal standpoint. Once you cross a certain line there is no going back. I think they were both afraid to cross that line and risk loosing what they had.. (NT) -- JB girlygirl, 14:12:35 06/20/05 Mon

There was just so much covered in this episode I still can’t put my thoughts into words. I think whenever DPB complains about the shippers though we should just point him directly to this episode and the fact we didn’t make it all up. To me it shows without a doubt they were in love with each other. I just wanted to order them both to tell each other how they felt and send Renee and Mic on their way. It is almost painful to watch knowing what was follow in ‘Adrift’ and the subsequent years. Thank goodness for those last 7.5 mins. (NT) -- Hope, 14:45:03 06/19/05 Sun

I just wanted to say that I don't think Harm meant for a long, long time by his comment and I don't think he wanted Mac to take it the way she did. Dancer replied to a post in the Lifeline thread below that caught my attention in a wide eyed manor. It registered to me for the first time that Harm didn't realize his "as long as it takes" comment sounded the way it did or that Mac would take it the way she did. Without going into a 2 page summary here, we have to remember back to ALL of the circumstances that lead to this one point on that boat in the Harbor. Harm was caught off guard, I think he meant what he said but didn't mean it to sound like 'forever' or 'five years from now', or for any particular amount of time. When we see them at the airport, the look on Harm's face when he did look back. I think that is when Harm realized just how Mac took his comment. He thought he had lost her, or never really had her because she 'ran to him so quick'. In LL, I think Harm knew he would never get over it if he didn't try to say something to Mac, thus leading us to the porch. Sigh~~ Then finally, after Adrift we noticed that Harm dosen't have a SO from that point on. So to finally put my pov out there. Harm learned from his mistake yet made many while trying to convey his feelings for Mac. He knew the only way he could ever convince her, was to wait himself, to undo the damage he had done with those words and for them both to be sure.....for as long as it took! Make sense or do you think I'm way out there?-- Samgiz, 14:52:24 06/19/05 Sun

Nah that as long as it takes comment for Harm is for us fans how long we're going to put up all the ambiguity and crap from TPTB. I cant believe most of us made it.LOL! (NT) -- StephanieY, 15:45:24 06/19/05 Sun

The "as long as it takes" didn't mean forever to me either. I think it meant that being together needs the right timing. That it's worth waiting for. But typically, that line was as obscure as the words he used (and didn't use), in Boomerang. She was puzzled then, and she was still puzzled in LL and beyond. (NT) -- Cece, 15:59:40 06/19/05 Sun

Somewhere in another thread, I said I hoped he meant "as long as it takes for us to work it out," but I admit that's a long shot. It's a remark that I refuse to believe was as cold as some people make it. I think Harm meant "as long as it takes" for us to be together. (NT) -- Dancer - I can see Harm as clumsy or even tongue-tied, but not as uncaring, 16:16:32 06/19/05 Sun

Yeah, I think he was probably ready to start trying to work it out after the case but....that would of been a 'hole-nother story' as they say!! (NT) -- Samgiz, 16:23:26 06/19/05 Sun

Never uncareing, particularly in LL when he wanted Mac, knowing he was losing her as they spoke. LL was so filled with emotion and careing very deeply. (NT) -- Cece, 16:26:54 06/19/05 Sun

1st time I saw LL, didn't know that HAE and SAE were married in RL so didn't get the inside joke of Singer replying to the "wow, talk about gorgeous!" remark with "really, he doesn't do much for me." 2nd time I saw it I got it and really LOL. Funnier than all the Bud slapstick schtick. I thought it was a great inside joke for the rabid fans. (NT) -- clr, 16:58:18 06/19/05 Sun

Lifeline we saw how Harm and Mac enjoyed their replays and reminiscing. We got rich visual presentation....as it is with emotional response.Happy Harmy drooling for us....and Happy Mac drooling for the guys too. This is one episode many fans have been waiting for...the genuine emotional response from Mac especially from Harm...LL is the real giant. The directing and acting by DJE and CB was effective throughout. (NT) -- Paris, 20:53:10 06/19/05 Sun

Lifeline was directed by DJE, must have been nice to direct the 'Kissing scene" Let's see - How many takes do we need? He did a very good job of directing this episode!! (NT) -- JB girlygirl, 13:53:59 06/20/05 Mon
