In reply to: - 's message, "season five: True Callings, October 5, 1999" on 19:35:09 06/21/02 Fri

This week our EOTW is Season 5’s True Callings, an episode not discussed much on the HB, but a pivotal time for Harm in his Navy career (one poster commented that this episode was “required viewing for Harm 101”). So, everyone, please join in and add your comments, observations and questions. We want to hear from you.

1) On a scale of 0 to 5, with 5 being great, how would you rate this episode and why?

2) This episode is entitled “True Callings”. What do you think was Harm’s true calling? Was it flying or was it the law?

3) If Harm had not been able to return to JAG at the end of this episode, would he have been happy with his Navy career? Would he and Mac ever have gotten together?

4) Harm tries to mentor a young attorney in this episode. Based on this episode and other episodes in which Harm was a “mentor”, do you think Harm is a good teacher or is he too much of a showman? Is he or Mac the better teacher of the law?

My pet peeve of the week - The CAG at the end tells Harm “you’ve already decided” to return to JAG. But we never really saw any scene of Harm struggling to make his decision – either by himself or by talking with someone about it.
