It has all the qualities I love about JAG - a great adventure, vulnerable Harm, the Mac that would fly in a MIG 29 with him helping him with the case, the slimy Webb we all loved, Bud figuring everything out, and Keeter. I'd give it a six. WO Mic would have been perfect! I'd have LOVED to see Keeter more. Could have been skulking around the CIA when Harm was flying for them. Could have been one of the squadron commanders on the PH when Harm went back to fly-showing where Harm would have been had he not had his ramp strike. Keeter could have fit in a lot of stories with very little change just to give Harm more of a pal. This is my favorite ep. of JAG. Harm is incredibley HOT! There is action, adventure, friendship, and love all wrapped into one. I always wanted Keeter to come back. Black Jet is what you would call the complete entertaining package.It packed the Harm-Mac punch. I think Keeter would have been more playful and fun than Sturgis whom TPTB made more competitive towards Harm. Harm was gorgeous in so many scenes but he took my breath away in that hotel room when Mac was giving him tea,that protective mode towards Mac during the stealth negotiations,his heated looks when hugging Mac. I found it interesting that Mic reminded me of - forgive me- Vukovic... His first suggestive line about looking forward to working 'under' Mac... I was startled that the Admiral didn't call him on it... made me wonder about why the writers never had the General call Vuk on it... Then later when he made the comment about them having a good relationship - when she meant working relatinship- and again when he mentioned taking her skiing... Never thought of that. I think he was suppose to be confidant and show that he genuinely liked Mac and wasn�t afraid to show it. From some reason it just came out bad. I love this episode, a definite 5. Harm is incredible and I think that it has some of the most tender Harm / Mac moments that were ever filmed. I love Keeter and wish we could have seen him more. It would have been great to have him tell Academy stories about Harm. My daughter-in-law is Persian and speaks Farsi. I had Violet (Benafsha) and her mother listen to it once and while I don't remember the exact translation, it was something about it's in the stars or something to that effect. I also loved the facial expressions in this ep.... it shows the DD's acting at its best... the look on Mac's face as the guy scans the room for bugs...the look on Harm's face when she translates big desert... the look on Mac's face when everyone points out she has a trace of an accent... the look on Harm's face when she tells him she's staying as collateral.. By the way ... did anyone notice the subliminal attempt once again to remind us of a more intimate relationship? Back in full engagement they said getting lucky, having sex, and I forget what else.. Since I set my tape for RT tom. the PDA really caught me off guard because I thought only Fairwinds they did the whole PDA thing but looks like they also did on BJ,People vs Rabb hugging in the courtroom and both were really daredevils making out in AJ's porch on LL episode.LOL! I loved this ep! Give it a 10. It embodies all that was good about JAG. Harm and Mac at their best working together before any bitterness at missed opportunities colored their relationship. More Keeter would have been great, he and Harm could have gotten into all kinds of trouble and Mac could have rescued them. Keeter does seem more like a good running buddy for Harm than the uptight Sturgis. Gosh, I wish more eps had been this good. (NT) -- Shell, 22:23:39 06/03/05 Fri

A 5. Harm in sexy gorgeous civilians, great development of all the cast characters and how they relate to each other. Wish we would've had more Keeter, a better foil from Academy days than Stugis. She says "I'm counting my biological clock beats." Best line? Ald. says "I wish for once you'd spit on your own fire Webb!" Actually... I noticed something else.... When the admiral sent Brumby and Mac... and Harm wanted to go the admiral said it was too personal... Harm actually told the admiral -- it wasn't too personal when you went after francesca.... The admiral backed down and changed his mind letting Harm go after his 'oldest friend'... what I want to know is what happened to that Harm and Admiral when Mac was stuck in Paraguay??? I always thought the REAL reason AJ wouldn't let Harm go to Paraguay was the military connection/complication. I did notice one more thing... yes I took notes.. LOL - the old gray mare ain't what she used to be and neither is her memory... LOL.. I also noticed Bud's explanation of Harm to Webb... Duty to country first, Loyalty to friends second.. I think that's the formula that made these early seasons so successful.. By season nine - loyalty to friends was shot to hell with everyone fighting and bickering... if they'd have stuck to that simple original formula.. we might be anticipating a season 11... Its phenom Jag and a winner. Score of 10 for this episode. Makes me proud as a Jag fan and making me miss Harm and Mac. Harm and Mac are so in love watching this episode.My nephew when he watched this before because he saw Harm looking for Mac in her office when the ep.started and he said "all the guys are in love with Mac huh?". One minor thing that has always bothered me about this ep -- I wish Keeter had commented about how much Mac looks like Diane. I was thinking that the whole time too. I mean there is no way he didn�t know Diane. Same with Bud in We The People. 4.75, like Hollyjp, I have to leave room at the top. This ep really shows how much they loved each other, even way back then, whether or not either one realized it yet. If Jack had been in more eps, it could have given us a bit more of a balance in episodes that involved the Company. A perfect balance for Webb(the most of the time self serving nerd) More could have said about their academy days. I just loved him, I still do. Black Jet- Of course it gets a five!!! Just the title of the episode send little tremors through my body. Did a shirt ever flap any better??? Ever??? Did Harm doing that quiet, insistent -- I must be a part of this--thing ever do it any more convincingly? He rescues, he hugs, he flys, and he hugs again--all in one episode. And don't get me started on the gazing out the window--while he tells Mac what Keeter means to him.....Those brooding, intent eyes kill me every time. I always loved the part where Harm and Mac are talking in the tent and she says that she will be colleteral. I think that she thinks of it as her punishment for killing Chris. mkim--Harm didn't get the handle "Hammer" until True Callings in Season Five. Harm never had a call sign as far as we know except Pappy which he got when he joined the Raptors on the Henry. Not all pilots have call signs other than their names. Pilots call each other by their call signs rather than their names a lot. Keeter didn't have a call sign other than Keeter and Harm was Harm. I give it a 5. I loved Black Jet for the interaction between Harm and Keeter, the many many great shots and close-ups of Harm and the interaction between Bud and Webb. I also liked that Mic was allowed to show that he was a man of compassion and understood Harm's pain, then convinced the Admiral to reverse his decsion and allow Harm to go in Mic's place. On a scale of 0-5 I give it a 6.All the elements were there. Harm was absolutely positively gorgeous. Loved that suit he was wearing when talking to that Iranian minister, he looked too big for that chair. H&M at their best.
