The Colonel's Wife – Season 5

What It's About

Harm and Mac go to Panama to investigate the Colonel's possible involvement in smuggling cocaine. Back in Washington, Bud takes a look down the "road not taken" when an old college buddy comes to call.

Reasons to Watch – Mac in charge, Harriet's wisdom, Harm in civvies. The opening sequence features the man walking down a hall. It's not exactly John Travolta in "Saturday Night Fever," but it kept my interest. LOL!

Reasons to Tape – A slightly different look at the "A" team in action – with a slightly different dynamic, and a fairly interesting investigation leading to an action finish at the end. If this were "Star Trek," this episode would be called an "away mission." As it is, it's one of the only times both Harm and Mac have gone out "undercover." They're in civvies the whole time. It's also the one of the few times Mac has been officially senior on an investigation – a point which is made more than once.

My vote for best sequence goes to Harm's encounter with a suspect and Mac's subsequent reaction to it. The line of the night might be, "Do want to hear what happened in the bar, Colonel, or do you just want to bust my chops?" It's not "Lifeline," but I enjoyed it. LOL! I give it a 6 out of 10.
