In reply to: RitaB/8 's message, "Harm made a couple of statements in last nights episode that I'm wondering if I'm interpreting them right. When Vuk asked Harm if he had a hard night and Harm replied "not the kind you're used to", was he referring to Vuks womanizing? Do you think that Harm knew about Vuk's reputation with women and was a little jealous when he asked Mac "What did he learn from you?" Was our Harm worried while Mac was off with Vuk? Poor Harm....don't you just want to lie him back and massage away all those worries?" on 23:22:50 04/26/05 Tue

I'm sure Harm was aware of Vic's womanizing and thus the comment. No, he wasn't jealous. He trust Mac to not be romantically interested in a junior officer who hits on any woman he sees. I think Harm has more respect for her ethics then that. (NT) -- judi, 13:33:47 04/23/05 Sat

I would hope so Judi, but when you love someone rationality usually goes out the window. He did ask the question after all and Mac took it just like he meant it. Harm could have all the respect in the world for her ethics and still be jealous. Mac handled it well don't you think? (NT) -- RitaB/8, 13:39:49 04/23/05 Sat

He was so emotionally and physically exausted in that scene I think rational thought went out the window. (NT) -- David, 13:42:12 04/23/05 Sat

I agree with David - they mentioned over and over that he was tired. And Harm made two telling mistakes last night. Out of character. One was not getting Vuc to follow up on the source of the toxin. And second was the exchange between Mac/Harm that sounded like them of old. Both of them are better than that.(NT) -- Nan,13:45:31 04/23/05 Sat

So maybe that is why she said it and didn’t get upset because she realized he wasn’t himself. Ok that makes the line a lot easier to understand. (NT) -- Hope, 13:58:57 04/23/05 Sat

I think the fact that Mac DIDN'T get upset at Harm's insinuation - was to prove she has 'grown up.' (like they talked about in 4%) She can now see it for what it really is. Harm tired and a little jealous. I think that is what that was about. (NT) -- Nan, 14:10:53 04/23/05 Sat

I think Harm's "question" may have had many meanings. Mac said what she did (and didn't get angry about it) because she knew he was overwrought and didn't want to add to it over nothing, just in case his mind was going there. I think she may have figured out by now that Harm does get extreamly jealous where she is concerned even when she tells him she's not into the other guy, like w/Webb &Mic in the begining. (NT) -- CM>^.,.^<, 14:24:56 04/23/05 Sat

ITA. I also think Mac recoginzed it as maybe Harm's attempt to pick a fight with her to push her away because he was uncomfortable about Mac insisting to help with Mattie. Like you said, Mac just flat out nipped it in the bud and to me basically said "nice try Harm, but that trick isn't going to work this time" (NT) -- Sammy, 14:58:01 04/23/05 Sat

Harm has to know about Vuk's reputation... Just last week Bud said Harm would have an easier time meeting Vuk if he were a woman.. That told me the entire office knew the guys rep. (NT) -- Chris K, 13:46:20 04/23/05 Sat

The thing that got me about that though, is that US was 'supposed' to be a Vuk episode, but he was just a plant in the corner in that epsode. Graves did all the work in that eppy, and he just followed her around for an hour. (NT) -- David, 13:49:17 04/23/05 Sat

Vuk's definitely got the 'rep' as a womanizer. Remember - he said to Coates last night - don't tell anyone that he didn't sleep with Graves - cause it would hurt his rep? (NT) -- Nan, 14:08:20 04/23/05 Sat

I think the best thing that happened this season is the cancellation of JAG. Can you imagine the disaster the last two episodes would turn out to be, if there were S11? S-C-A-R-Y!!!!!!!! (NT) -- Acer, 13:48:52 04/23/05 Sat

Last week, when Harm announced that he'd barely seen Vuk since he got there, Bud said something about him (Harm) getting more attention if he were female. There was a look he exchanged with Mac on that one. (NT) -- Dancer - waving to all and especially Shipper Judi., 14:01:27 04/23/05 Sat

It's not the first time Harm has made little innuendoey comments to Mac when it comes to other men...I think it's just part of the built in pattern of their relationship where they get a bit jealous and territorial when it comes to each other. And yes, Harm is overly tired and had too much on his mind and has heard VIc's rep- so I think Mac just nipped it in the bud by stating flat out that she hadn't slept with him...Letting Harm know in no uncertain terms that it wasn't an issue. (NT) -- manette- it was odd but I kind of liked the exchange, 14:18:09 04/23/05 Sat

I disagree. If Vic had not been a junior officer at JAG, I would agree. However, if Harm is really wondering that it would mean he has no faith in Mac's ethics that she would sleep with a junior officer and risk her career over a guy who is trying to bed every woman he sees. I think Harm has far more respect for her then that. (NT) -- judi, 14:55:01 04/23/05 Sat

Because Vuk is the type of man Mac has gone for from the beginning of JAG and the leering disrespect that Vuk treated Mac with is just what Mac responds to. If S11 happened DPB would've had Mac in bed with Vuk by the first sweeps. (NT) -- McMax, 16:12:33 04/23/05 Sat

I disagree, McMax. First , Mac outranks him by two ranks. She would pay dearly for any indiscretion with her career! Though it pains me to say this, I honestly think that Mic and Webb were better people than Vuk is. Vuk is blindly ambitious. I cannot excuse his swipes at Harm's age last night (or the writers who put those words in his mouth). Mic was controlling; that's why I didn't like him for Mac. Webb would have NEVER been the man for Mac because the very essence of his job was secrecy, cloak and dagger, and lack of stability. That's not what Mac has said that she wanted.
