Subject: My thoughts at the drop of a "hat"
In reply to: - 's message, "season eight: Fortunate Son, March 18, 2003" on 01:40:47 03/21/03 Fri

First, the hat has to mean something. I'm not sure who it will be bad for, but it has to be bad for someone. I'm not sure he did it on purpose though, I think it'll be something he notices later and decides to use.

Second, Lindsay is the father of the SoS. There's no way around it. Did you see his sudden pallor at hearing Singer is PG? What a slimeball.

Third, I could not believe my ears when he approached Mac. Now it may just be me, but I thought he was implying that he could make this all go away for her if she would give him something in return, if you know what I mean. Maybe the statement didn't sound like that taken at face value, but if you put it in context of what he just implied about her and AJ, that's what I heard. I'd like to reiterate my previous assertion.

Fourth, the scene between Mac and Harm was great. No, it wasn't ooey gooey romantic, but let's face it. Who of us is ooey gooey all the time? And his "Hello stranger" sent chills down my spine. Plus, like CM said, he told her something important about his past, something that might be causing him to have problems "letting go."

Fifth, the actual case... the case itself was a snoozer for me. I mean, it was interesting, but for me it was the intricacies going on at HQ that kept me on my toes. I did like the last touch of reuniting the family, that was sweet.

Oh, one last thing. As much as we all hate the thought and honestly we know not much can come of it if DPB wants to have a show next season, in reality Lindsay has a good point. In RL, there's no way that this many people would have remained stationed together for so long. At least that's what I've been given to understand. And even his reasoning was spot-on. It's hard to maintain discipline when you're more of a family than a unit.
