GLA for your ROTFL description of ole Teddy even though I don't understand half of it. LOLOL I agree that Lindsey is up to something. (NT) -- judi, 22:17:12 03/18/03 Tue

Hee ... new nasty slang terms. Fun. Anyway, I'm reluctantly going to have to back down off my assertion that Sergei fathered the SoS, after tonight's disaster with CDR Pansy-a** -- I mean, CDR Lindsey. As for transfers: that's a shocker that would actually worry me. As much as I adored "Adrift," it's not like we ever believed Harm might actually die. People getting transferred, however, could actually happen (at least temporarily). Simply loved the Harm/Mac scene. And I'm with CM -- what's up with the cover mix-up? "I'll take Random Plot Devices for $100, Alex ..." (NT) -- -AeroGirl (oh yeah, apologies for being silent for so long! May I make it up to you with new fic?), 22:59:37 03/18/03 Tue

YES you may.. oh, and about the lil plot device.... -- Ashke, 23:34:19 03/18/03 Tue

LOL!!!! I loved the "chupatenis" part!!!!! In Argentina we say "chupamedias" (medias=calcetines=stockings and/or pantyhose). On the "Moralito" part: I thought that moralito was a way of referring to " muerte" (death) without actually saying it... Lambeojo... "eye-licker"? Can it be? Soplapotes... now that one I don't get... LOLOLOLOLOLLOL (NT) -- Iocandi, que se maravilla de la diferencia en el slang de cada pais (who is impressed by the difference in slang in every country), 09:46:14 03/19/03 Wed

Moralito" was a famous TV character back in the 60's, who was a Teddy Lindsey in the corporate world. He had a frilly voice and tried to climb his way to the top (and every time it backfired on his face). "Moralito" is a diminutive for the "Morales" surname but also a double entendre for "moral" since he tried very hard to be a goody-two-shoes. "Soplapotes" can be translated as a tattle-tale, "correveidile" in Spanish, much like Singer. (NT) -- Yali
