Great post, CM. I too never thought Harm was really close to his mom. But I didn't realize why until reading your post. I do think he loves & cares about her -- worrying about how to tell her about Sergei & then suddenly flying across country to tell her when the story was about to break (rather than calling her). Although he probably doesn't open up to her either, she can read him very well -- like his feelings toward Mac: "How's Mac? She's quite the girl" "Oh, Mom, don't start."
